Share Together
The last core value is sharing together. At Wakefield, we take seriously the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). We desire that everyone in our community, and throughout the world, hear the good news of Jesus Christ.
This is best accomplished through a variety of means. One way is through community evangelism. The members of Wakefield come together monthly and share Christ in our community.
Another way is through personal evangelism. Periodically, the church leaders train the congregation in methods of personal evangelism. This includes developing a personal testimony (story) and simple approaches to sharing. Every believer should be ready to share the hope that is within (1 Peter 3:15).
One other way we share is through support of local and worldwide missions. Wakefield desires to support missionaries. However our larger desire is to develop and send missionaries from our body. You can read about our mission efforts on adjoining pages.
