Purpose & Vision
It is our desire to see people become disciples of Jesus Christ. Being a disciple includes salvation, but that is just the beginning. When we become God's children we are told to grow in our faith. At Wakefield, we feel that there are four key pieces to the puzzle of Christian growth. They are: Worship, Discipleship, Service and Outreach. We have retitled these in this manner: 1) Worship Together, Grow Together, Serve Together, and Share Together.
You can explore these further in the section titled The Puzzle. However, before you do, please note the use of the word "Together." Church, then, is something done together. Which means we celebrate together, suffer together, and grow in faith together. See Galatians 6:1-2.
So then what is the purpose and vision of Wakefield? - To build a body of believers that together worship Christ, grow in knowledge of Him, serve the church, and that share their faith with all peoples.
